People of Venice

One day with my camera in Venice during the first warm spring days.

We arrived early by train from Bassano del Grappa (if you have not heard of it, highly recommend visiting it). It was Saturday, the train was full of people smiling and talking.

Just when we step out from the train I felt the smell — salt, sea and seaweed. You could not see the sea from the train station, but can immediately feel it.

From the station we headed to the left and tried to find less crowded and not-that touristic places, find simple shops, squares and walk along the sea where possible.

These shots is a collection of the feeling we got from spending Saturday like locals here. Have a cup of tea and do not rush scrolling down. Enjoy the moment as the people in Venice do. They seem like they know what ‘dolce far niente’ means… Would you agree?
